Elizabeth Clark-Lewis is Professor of History and Director of the Public History Program at Howard University. Her pioneering research documents African American domestic workers' experiences through oral histories, earning awards including the Oscar Micheaux Best Documentary for 'Freedom Bags'.
Clark-Lewis's scholarship examines Great Migration narratives, community preservation, and D.C. emancipation history. She leads public history initiatives preserving African American heritage through National Park Service collaborations and community archiving projects.
