Elizabeth Cape

Elizabeth Cape is a licensed elementary teacher and Consultant Lecturer affiliated with the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). She works with the Learning Sciences Research Institute and contributes to the Teaching Integrated Math and Science (TIMS) Project as a lead author for the 4th edition of Math Trailblazers. During summers, she serves as an International Facilitation Fellow for the University of Texas at Austin’s Charles A. Dana Center, providing professional development seminars to DoDEA teachers on standards-based math instruction. Liz also operates an innovative math center offering small-group instruction to enhance student learning.

Research Interests: Elizabeth focuses on improving mathematics education through instructional strategies that align with standards-based frameworks. Her work emphasizes curriculum development and pedagogical practices to support elementary math teaching.
