Elizabeth A. Pulliam

Elizabeth A. "Liz" Pulliam, Psy.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Psychology, at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). She has been on the faculty since 2006, providing clinical services to children and families at Arkansas Children’s Hospital and the UAMS James L. Dennis Developmental Center.

Dr. Pulliam earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in 2004. She then completed her internship at the UAMS Department of Psychiatry/Child Study Center in 2004, followed by a fellowship in pediatric psychology through the UAMS Department of Pediatrics/Arkansas Children’s Hospital in 2005.

Her research and clinical focus lie at the intersection of pediatric psychology and developmental disorders. Key areas include:

• Pediatric psychology
• Behavioral health interventions for children
• Autism spectrum disorders
• Intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Medical comorbidities in pediatric populations
• Emotional and behavioral difficulties in children and adolescents

Dr. Pulliam serves on the training committee for UAMS pediatric psychology fellows, providing lectures and bedside teaching to fellows, residents, medical students, and other trainees. She is also the psychology discipline coordinator for the UAMS Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) program, an interdisciplinary leadership training initiative for graduate students.

At present, Dr. Pulliam is not accepting new patients; she continues to serve existing patients through Arkansas Children’s MyChart or direct clinic contact.
