Elizabete Ārgale is a Lecturer (In-house) and PhD student in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Riga Stradins University (RSU). Her research focuses on maternal care quality, childbirth experiences, and pandemic impacts on healthcare systems. She leads a 2024-2028 RSU-funded project evaluating childbirth care quality in Latvia and contributed to a 2020-2021 national study on pandemic-related healthcare disruptions.
Her expertise aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), emphasizing maternal health and healthcare system resilience. Notable collaborations include international comparative studies across Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland, analyzing postpartum care standards and mental health support.
