Elissa Manzi is a Lecturer in Speech and Language Therapy at the University of East Anglia's School of Health Sciences. She is also an Associate Fellow at the institution and actively contributes to clinical education and research.

Her research focuses on adult-acquired communication disorders, particularly aphasia, dysarthria, and dysphagia. She leads the Norwich Aphasia Choir initiative, which combines therapeutic singing with student training, and collaborates with the Aphasia Alliance as a British Aphasiology Society Representative.
Elissa's recent work examines the mutual benefits of aphasia choirs for patients and speech and language therapy students. She has presented at national conferences like the UK Stroke Forum and British Aphasiology Society.
Additional roles include serving as an External Examiner at the University of Strathclyde and organizing the British Aphasiology Society Symposium (2021-2024).
