Elise L. Amel is a Professor of Psychology at the University of St. Thomas, where she has served for over two decades. She is also a Fellow of the American Psychological Association and past-chair of the Department of Earth, Environment, & Society. Her work focuses on applying psychological principles to address environmental crises, particularly through organizational behavior change and sustainability education. Amel co-founded the Office of Sustainability Initiatives at the university and has driven systemic changes toward carbon neutrality and strategic sustainability goals.
