Elisabetta Erba

Elisabetta Erba is a Full Professor in the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Milan, recognized as a world-expert in Mesozoic paleoceanography and calcareous nannofossils. She has held academic positions since 1987, including roles as Researcher, Associate Professor, and Full Professor, alongside international collaborations such as a Post Doc at ETH Zurich.

Research Interests:
Her work focuses on biostratigraphy, cyclostratigraphy, and paleoceanographic proxies to reconstruct Mesozoic climate and ocean conditions. Key areas include Oceanic Anoxic Events (OAEs), black shales, paleo-pCO2 reconstructions, and biogenic carbonate fluxes.
