Elisabeth Chaumont-Sturtevant is a Franco-American researcher at the University of Aberdeen's School of Geosciences. She completed a BA in History, Heritage, and Archaeology (2018) at Bangor University and an MSc in Osteoarchaeology (2019) at the University of Aberdeen under the supervision of Professor Rebecca Crozier. Since Autumn 2020, she has pursued a PhD at the same university, co-supervised by Professors Rebecca Crozier and Marc Oxenham.

Her research focuses on the analysis of trauma associated with interpersonal violence in Medieval skeletons and Bronze Age Scottish cremations. She is exploring mortuary contexts and fragmentary evidence to understand life and death in historical populations.
