Elisa Yon

Elisa Yon is a Continuing Studies Instructor at Emily Carr University of Art + Design (ECUAD), with a focus on architecture, design thinking, and socially engaged public practice. She graduated from the School of Architecture at the University of Waterloo in 2003 and later earned a Master of Applied Art (MAA) from ECUAD in 2012 through her thesis 'Mapping Meta Portrait: a socially engaged cultural probe.'

Her research and practice integrate ethnography, human-centred design, and public art. She has held professional roles in architecture and art administration, including working with Gareth Hoskins Architects in Glasgow and serving as Public Art Assistant for the City of Richmond since 2012.
