Elisa Frankel

Elisa Frankel is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at the University of Puget Sound. Her research focuses on the molecular mechanisms underlying synaptic development and maintenance in neurons.

• Education: BA from Mount Holyoke College (2011), PhD from University of Wisconsin-Madison (2018)

She teaches Unity of Life (BIOL 111-B) and mentors interdisciplinary research projects using genome editing and fluorescence microscopy techniques. Her work bridges cellular neuroscience with molecular biology to explore neural connectivity dynamics.
