Dr. Elisa Altgassen is a Researcher in the Department of Differential Psychology & Psychological Diagnostics at the University of Ulm, where she contributes to research in psychological assessment, test validation, and the application of large language models in psychometrics. Her work bridges classical psychological diagnostics with modern computational methods.
Research Interests: Her primary areas include personality diagnostics, validity of self-report measures, crystallized intelligence, variable selection in psychometrics, and the use of latent semantic analysis and LLMs in psychological testing. She is also engaged in research on university admission diagnostics and general test construction principles.
Dr. Altgassen completed her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Psychology at the University of Ulm and has been continuously involved in academic work there since 2015, including as a student assistant and now as a scientific researcher. She also pursued study abroad experiences at National Taiwan University and the University of Cyprus.
She is currently accepting applications for research internships and thesis supervision in her areas of expertise.
