Elio König

Elio König is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a Group Leader at the Max-Planck-Institute for Solid State Research in Stuttgart. His research bridges quantum materials and quantum information science, focusing on strongly correlated electron systems, quantum spin liquids, and topological order. He investigates transport phenomena in Berry curved materials and explores twistronic systems beyond magic-angle graphene.

Research Interests: König’s work spans quantum transport in novel materials, topological phases, and interdisciplinary connections between condensed matter physics and quantum information. He has explored iron-based superconductivity, ultracold atomic gases with artificial gauge fields, and the impact of disorder on topological insulators.
