Elina Quiroga

Elina Quiroga, M.D., MPH, is a board-certified Professor of Surgery at the University of Washington and a practicing surgeon in the Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Clinic at Harborview Medical Center. She serves as director of vascular surgery residency and fellowship training programs, emphasizing endovascular techniques and patient-centered care.

• Education: Universidad de Buenos Aires (M.D., 1998), followed by residencies and fellowships in general surgery, esophageal surgery, and vascular surgery at the University of Washington and Hospital Dr Cosme Argerich.

Dr. Quiroga’s research focuses on vascular trauma outcomes, ruptured aneurysm management, dialysis access innovations, and healthcare inequities in Latinx populations. Her clinical work spans peripheral vascular disease, aortic aneurysms, and trauma care.

Recent publications highlight trends in endovascular trauma protocols, refining diagnostic thresholds, and improving outcomes for Latinx patients. Articles span vascular surgery, trauma care, and health disparities.
