Her research spans the intersecting fields of kinship demography, public health, and multidisciplinary studies of changing institutions including family and legislation. Her methodological expertise includes register-based research and life course approaches to demographic phenomena.
Analysis of her recent publications (2020-2025) reveals a strong focus on family dynamics, health outcomes, and demographic transitions. Her work frequently employs Nordic register data to examine same-sex relationships, divorce patterns, health consequences of marital transitions, and intergenerational effects. A notable trend is her increasing focus on LGBTQ+ family formation and the impacts of social policy changes on vulnerable populations.
