Elin Nia Williams serves as a Lecturer in FinTech Law within the School of Law, Criminology and Policing, specializing in financial crime law and technology regulation. She is currently completing her PhD at the University of Liverpool on cryptocurrency-enabled money laundering challenges.
Educational background:

Research focuses on financial crime mechanisms, particularly cryptocurrency-facilitated money laundering and dark web regulatory frameworks. Her work bridges commercial law, banking law, and digital technology governance to address emerging fintech legal gaps.

Williams actively disseminates research through presentations at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Liverpool John Moores University, and University of Liverpool.
