Elena Trombini is a Full Professor at the Department of Psychology 'Renzo Canestrari', University of Bologna. She holds an academic discipline in Dynamic Psychology (PSIC-04/A). Her roles include former Vice-Rector for Students (2015–2021), Head of the Organizational Unit of the Department of Psychology, and coordinator of clinical services in pediatrics and psychological consultation. She teaches in Psychology, Medicine, Pedagogy, and postgraduate programs.

- Laurea in Letters and Philosophy (1985), University of Bologna
Research & Clinical Focus: Clinical child psychology (prematurity, oncology, eating/evacuative disorders), adult psychology (obesity, emotional intelligence, parenting), psychodiagnostic method development, and psychotherapeutic interventions. She established the Psychological Consultation Service for Children and Parents and the “Dina Vallino” Research Laboratory for psychotherapy studies in developmental age.
Recent Activity: Currently on sabbatical (as of April 2024).
