Elena Stingl is a doctoral candidate at the Friedrich Schlegel Graduate School for Literary Studies at Freie Universität Berlin (FU), pursuing research on Simone Weil, Alfred Sohn-Rethel, and Georges Bataille's engagement with European workers' movements. Since August 2023, she serves as a research assistant in the Hannah Arendt Critical Edition team. Her academic career includes fellowships at the University of Chicago (2019) and the Maison Heinrich Heine in Paris (2021). She holds degrees from LMU Munich and UC Berkeley, with a master’s thesis on Marcel Proust.
