Elena Poli is a Lecturer of Statistics at Bocconi University's Decision Sciences Department. She holds a master's degree in Economy from Università degli Studi di Brescia and a PhD in Methodological Statistics from the University of Trento and Milano Bicocca, with research conducted at the University of Southampton. Her professional experience spans the University of Brescia, San Raffaele University's biomedical statistics center, and Bocconi since 2009.
Her research examines:
- Non-linear multilevel models with categorical responses
- Rank distance metrics (Cayley, Kendall, Hamming)
- Biomedical classification performance evaluation
- Permutation models for longitudinal data
- Latent variable measurement in surveys
She has pioneered online course delivery methods, including fully digital Statistics courses.
