Elena Petri

Elena Petri is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Control Systems Technology group within the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), supervised by Professor Maurice Heemels.

She earned her PhD from the University of Lorraine, France in 2023, with research focused on nonlinear observers and hybrid systems.

Her expertise spans control theory with specialized emphasis on neuromorphic control architectures, event-triggered control strategies, and hybrid dynamical systems modeling. This research integrates neuromorphic computing principles to develop energy-efficient control solutions for complex engineering systems, particularly addressing stability challenges in resource-constrained environments.

Dr. Petri's 2024 publication pioneers the application of neuromorphic controllers to linear systems through hybrid systems analysis, demonstrating how event-triggered mechanisms significantly reduce computational overhead while maintaining robust closed-loop performance across diverse operating conditions.
