Elena Mendoza

Elena Mendoza is Professor of Composition at Universität der Künste Berlin, specializing in timbral experimentation and theatrical dramaturgy. Her notable music theatre work Niebla (2007) pioneered vocal-instrumental narrative forms through collaboration with director Matthias Rebstock.

Performances span leading ensembles including Ensemble Modern, Klangforum Wien, Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart, and orchestras like Philharmonisches Orchester Freiburg. Her works feature at international festivals including Ars Musica Brussels, Wittener Tage für neue Kammermusik, and Steirischer Herbst.
