Elena Hoster is a PhD candidate and researcher in the Algebraic Combinatorics group at the Faculty of Mathematics, Ruhr-Universität Bochum. She is part of the Research Team Stump under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Christian Stump. Her work focuses on reflection arrangements, particularly the braid arrangement, posets, and the symmetric group.

Research Interests:
Elena’s research explores algebraic structures in combinatorics, including reflection groups, posets, and their applications to symmetric group theory. Her recent work has centered on Hilbert-Poincaré series and Chow polynomials in matroid theory, contributing to the understanding of combinatorial algebra.
Teaching:
She has taught courses such as Elementargeometrie, Lineare Algebra und Geometrie, and Algorithmische Mathematik II for Informatics and ITS students since 2021.
