Elena Borin is an Associate Professor in Business Administration at Link Campus University in Rome, Italy. She previously served as Director of the MSc in Arts and Cultural Management (2017–2021) and Coordinator of the Research Team in Arts and Cultural Management at the Burgundy School of Business (Dijon, France). She holds a Doctor Europeus (2016) and has received notable awards, including the Research Award for Cultural Management and Policy (2017) and the IUSS Award (2017).
Her research focuses on cultural management, governance, international policy comparisons, funding strategies for cultural sectors, and sustainability in public-private partnerships. She has authored books with publishers like Eurilink, Springer, and PIE Peter Lang, and contributed to peer-reviewed journals. She currently serves as Vice-President of ENCATC (European Network of Cultural Management and Policy, since December 2023) and holds editorial roles for journals such as European Journal of Cultural Policy and Management and ENCATC Scholar.
Borin has been a member of key committees, including the Steering Committee of the Routes towards Sustainability network (2017–2021), the Scientific Committee of the ENCATC Annual Congress (since 2018), and the jury for the ENCATC Research Award (since 2020). She is actively involved in academia as an invited speaker, track chair, and advisor.
