Elena Bastianelli is a Research Fellow in Sociology and Demography at the University of Florence's Department of Statistics, Computer Science and Application. She also collaborates with Bocconi University on the Horizon Project FutuRes since May 2023 under Prof. Arnstein Aassve. Her work focuses on family dynamics, social inequalities, and employment instability's impact on union dissolution in Italy.
Education: She earned a PhD in Sociology and Methodology of Social Research (University of Turin & University of Milan, NASP, 2022), with a thesis exploring employment instability and union dissolution in Italy.
Research interests include quantitative analysis of family structures, socioeconomic disparities, and methodological approaches to social research. Current projects involve analyzing longitudinal data on labor market instability and its societal consequences.
