Eleanor Toye Scott is a Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge's Department of Computer Science and Technology, affiliated with the Energy and Environment Group and the Cambridge Centre for Carbon Credits (4C). She holds a PhD in Experimental Psychology from the University of Cambridge and has held roles at start-ups like Sibelius Software and Cambridge Cognition. Her work focuses on the intersection of environmental science, technology policy, risk management, and organizational behavior.
Currently, she manages the University's carbon credit purchasing initiative and explores governance challenges in voluntary carbon markets. Her research examines how technological systems integrate into societal frameworks, including studies on domestic technology use, tangible interfaces, and digital infrastructure risks. She collaborates with the Judge Business School on projects involving enterprise risk management and digital transformation governance.
