Eleanor Holmes is a Teaching Fellow in Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Surrey within the School of Biosciences (Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences). She is a Registered Dietitian with the Health and Care Professions Council and maintains active professional affiliations.
Her academic foundation includes a BSc (Hons) in Nutrition & Dietetics from the University of Surrey. Professionally, she has extensive experience in both NHS and private sector settings, specializing in hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery and mental health within high-secure services before transitioning to academia.
Her research and teaching focus centers on practical clinical applications, particularly surgical dietetic management and mental health nutrition services. She actively contributes to professional discourse through committee roles in the Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition Group (PENG) of the British Dietetic Association and the Malnutrition Action Group (MAG) under BAPEN.
As an educator, she organizes core modules including Principles of Nutrition and Health (BMS1055) and Key Skills for Nutrition and Dietetics (BMS1034), while teaching across undergraduate programs in Applied Dietetics, Clinical Nutrition, and postgraduate courses in Nutritional Medicine. She supervises research projects at both undergraduate (BMS3076) and postgraduate levels while providing clinical placement support.
