Eleanor Belshire is a Solicitor and Lecturer in Clinical Legal Education at Lancaster University’s Law School, affiliated with the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS). She is a supervising solicitor in the university’s nationally acclaimed Law Clinic, which provides free legal advice to the public under student supervision. Prior to academia, she specialized in Private Client law at a Lancaster-based legal firm.
Research & Clinical Work: Her work focuses on clinical legal education methodologies, access to justice, and the integration of community-based research in legal practice. She contributes to initiatives addressing legal inequalities through practical, client-centered approaches.
Recent Contributions: In 2025, she co-authored a journal article on leveraging community-based research to drive social justice outcomes. She also presented at the European Network of Clinical Legal Education Conference in Amsterdam.
