Elaine Yim is a Graduate Prize Fellow at Princeton University during 2024-25, focusing on political theory and its intersections with activism, ethnography, and global justice.
Her research addresses the democratic boundary problem, examining how global justice activism movements can remedy the 'global legitimacy deficit' in governance structures tackling climate justice and other transnational issues. She combines normative political theory with ethnographic methods to analyze democratic values in practice.
Additional interests include immigration ethics and normative ethics frameworks.
