Elżbieta Awramiuk

Prof. Elżbieta Awramiuk is a faculty member at the Faculty of Philology, University of Białystok, specializing in multiple dimensions of Polish linguistics. Her research spans four primary areas:

• Linguodidactics – Teaching Polish as a native language, including methodology and comparative approaches
• Glottodidactics – Promoting Polish as a foreign language
• Normative Linguistics – Studying Polish language correctness, orthography, and codification
• Psycholinguistics – Investigating written communication and early literacy acquisition

She has made significant contributions through publications analyzing Polish spelling reforms (2006-2021), psycholinguistic models of reading/writing development, and educational methodologies for Polish language instruction. Her work intersects with clinical perspectives on language learning difficulties and dictionary-based normative studies. A current project funded by Poland's Ministry of Education and Science (SONP/SP/549046/2022) explores broader educational implementation of her findings.
