Eirini Papapetrou

Eirini Papapetrou, MD, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Oncological Sciences and Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is affiliated with the Leon and Norma Hess Center for Science and Medicine and the Center for Advancement of Blood Cancer Therapies (CABCT). Her research focuses on understanding malignant and pre-malignant blood disorders, including myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN), and acute myeloid leukemia (AML), using induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) models and CRISPR genome editing technologies. She leads an international team investigating disease mechanisms and therapeutic targets.
