Eirin Mølland is an Associate Professor at the Department of Economics, University of Agder (School of Business and Law). She holds a Master’s in Business Economics (2008) and a PhD in Economics (2014) from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). Previously, she held a postdoctoral position at NHH and was a senior researcher at NORCE. She currently holds a part-time position at NORCE.
Her research focuses on socioeconomic determinants of health, child poverty, family economics, and health-related quality of life. Key projects include the New Patterns study addressing child poverty through coordinated interventions and the Starting Right child health assessment program. She is affiliated with research groups such as HEIFA (Health and Quality of Life in Family Perspectives) and explores topics like income volatility among low-income families and healthcare service utilization.
Recent publications analyze child mental health, healthcare utilization trends, and socioeconomic disparities. Her work bridges economics and public health, emphasizing policy-relevant research on vulnerable populations. She collaborates with national and international institutions, contributing to policy discussions on poverty alleviation and family support systems.
