Eileen Wood is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at Wilfrid Laurier University's Faculty of Science. Her research focuses on developmental psychology, instructional psychology, and learning across the lifespan, with a particular emphasis on how technology shapes early childhood education.

Her work examines parental engagement with familiar versus novel mobile devices, revealing patterns in social, verbal, and educational support strategies. Current research explores how parents map math skills onto educational apps, aiming to improve app selection and scaffolding techniques.
