Eileen T. Walsh

Eileen T. Walsh, Ph.D., is a Professor of Sociology at California State University, Fullerton. She retired from a 20-year career in Orange County government before completing her Ph.D. at the University of Southern California in 2005. Her research focuses on inequality, racial formations, and education equity, with a particular emphasis on student retention for Black students. Dr. Walsh has held leadership roles, including Department Chair (2014–2020) and Chair of the Academic Senate (2022–2024).
