Eija Raussi-Lehto

Eija Raussi-Lehto is a Research and Testing Manager at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences with a PhD in Technology and Master of Health Care, who also holds professional qualifications as both a midwife and nurse. She works with the MPH Team and has extensive expertise in healthcare research, particularly in midwifery, sexual and reproductive health, and MedTech innovation.

Her research interests focus on improving maternity care through innovative approaches including simulation pedagogy, patient-reported measures, and product development in healthcare. She has conducted significant research on women's perspectives in maternity care, fear of birth among multiparous women, and the development of biocompatible materials for medical implants. Her work bridges clinical practice with technological innovation to enhance healthcare delivery.

Raussi-Lehto's publication record demonstrates a consistent focus on improving sexual and reproductive health services, with recent work examining implementation of patient-reported measures in maternity care and psychological aspects of childbirth. Her research spans both qualitative studies of patient experiences and technical development of medical materials and devices.
