Eiichi Egami

Dr. Eiichi Egami is a Research Professor at Steward Observatory, University of Arizona. His primary research focus is extragalactic astronomy with a special emphasis on ground/space infrared/submm observations.

Dr. Egami's research interests include:

• Galaxies in the reionization era (z>6)
• Infrared-luminous galaxies at high redshift and in the local Universe
• Cluster galaxy evolution and cooling flows
• Gravitational lensing applications for observing faint background galaxies

He is currently leading several large international space observing programs including:

• The Herschel Lensing Survey (Herschel Key Program: 292.3 hours)
• The IRAC Lensing Survey: Achieving JWST Depth with Spitzer (Spitzer Exploration Science Program: 526.4 hours)
