Ehsan Mousavi

Ehsan Mousavi is an Endowed Associate Professor and Graduate Program Director in the Nieri Department of Construction and Real Estate Development at Clemson University's College of Architecture, Art and Construction. He holds a Ph.D. in Construction Engineering and Management from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. His research focuses on optimizing design, construction, and operation of healthcare facilities to improve patient safety through environmental parameter analysis, particularly addressing ventilation, air quality, and energy efficiency.

His research interests include healthcare facility energy efficiency, indoor air quality (IAQ), ventilation system optimization, and sustainable construction practices. His articles emphasize data-driven approaches to healthcare energy management, cleanroom airflow modeling, and portable infection control devices. He also investigates infrastructure design frameworks for transport projects and waste prediction in developing countries.

Mousavi serves as faculty advisor for the Associated Builders and Contractors student chapter and ASHRAE Technical Committee T.C. 9-6 on Healthcare Ventilation. He reviews for leading journals and conferences, contributing to national standards like ASHRAE/ASHE 170.

His teaching includes courses on construction cost estimating. Professional experience spans seven years in international construction projects, including dam, road, and building construction.
