Ehsan Moallem is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Oklahoma State University (OSU), part of the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology. He previously held the title of Adjunct Assistant Professor from 2014 to 2023. His academic background includes a Ph.D. from OSU (2012), an M.S. and B.S. from the University of Tehran (2007 and 2004, respectively).
Research focuses on Heat Transfer, HVAC systems, Fluid Mechanics, and Thermal Management, with emphasis on frost growth in heat exchangers, microchannel technologies, and refrigeration cycles. His work addresses challenges in optimizing heat transfer efficiency and reducing energy consumption in thermal systems.
Key achievements include awards for the best paper in the International Journal of Refrigeration (2012), third-place recognition in the Purdue HVAC student paper competition (2012), and full scholarships at both universities. He has contributed to over 14 peer-reviewed publications, advancing understanding of frost dynamics and heat exchanger performance.
Teaching responsibilities include courses in Heat Transfer, Thermodynamics, and Engineering Analysis, reflecting his expertise in thermal and mechanical systems.
