Egor Prikaziuk is an Assistant Professor at the University of Twente, affiliated with the Department of Water Resources and the Digital Society Institute. He holds a PhD in Plant Productivity and Evaporation from Remote Sensing (2021) from the Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation, University of Twente, and prior degrees from St. Petersburg State University: Master in Plant Physiology and Biochemistry (2016), Bachelor in Biology (2014), and additional training at the Bioinformatics Institute (2014–2015).
His research focuses on integrating remote sensing and biogeochemical modeling to study environmental dynamics, particularly in agricultural and ecological contexts. Key interests include land carbon sinks, crop phenology monitoring, plant stress detection, and the application of satellite data for ecological and agricultural insights. His work emphasizes bridging observational data with mechanistic models to address global challenges like climate change and food security.
Recent publications highlight advancements in carbon sink mapping, crop stress detection via remote sensing, and the optimization of Copernicus products for agricultural monitoring. He has contributed datasets on topics like DBSCAN clustering of heatwaves and SPEI indices in Senegal, and global sensitivity analysis of the SCOPE model. His research spans collaborations across Europe and Africa, addressing both theoretical and applied environmental science.
