Egem Atik is an Assistant Professor at Özyeğin University's Faculty of Applied Sciences, Department of Turkish Language and Literature. He holds a PhD (2021) and MA (2014) in Turkish Language and Literature from Boğaziçi University, along with a BA (2010) in Comparative Literature from Istanbul Bilgi University.

- Research Focus: Modern Turkish literature, critical masculinity studies, food politics, and literary theory
Since 2013, he has been teaching Turkish literature and critical theory at Özyeğin University. His work specifically examines gender representations in Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar’s novels.
