Edwin Moore

Edwin Moore is a Clinical Professor of Innovation, Leadership, and Engineering Entrepreneurship at the University of Illinois' Technology Entrepreneur Center. He concurrently serves as President/Principal Consultant of BioPhia Consulting Inc. and holds a Visiting Scientist role in the University of Illinois Chemistry Department. His 30-year career spans global pharmaceutical giants like Baxter Healthcare Corp and Abbott Laboratories, specializing in biopharmaceutical R&D, analytical method development, and pre-clinical product development for therapeutic proteins and IV products.

• Education: PhD in Physical Biochemistry (Cornell University), B.S. Biochemistry (UIUC)

Research expertise focuses on biopharmaceutical product lifecycle management, CMC processes, and cross-functional project leadership. He co-founded BioPhia Consulting in 2014, now a 15-expert firm supporting biopharma/medical device development. His teaching includes BSE 739/TE 598 MDD: Medical Device Product Development.

Professional experience includes roles from bench scientist to Sr. Director of Global Analytical Method Development at Abbott, managing budgets, CRO collaborations, and personnel across R&D phases.
