
Edwin Lindsay

Edwin Lindsay is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management at North Carolina State University’s College of Natural Resources. He holds a Doctorate of Adult and Community College Education (1999), a Master of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management (1993), and a B.S. in Biological Sciences (1991), all from NC State. His research interests include leisure studies, program evaluation, educational technology, and cultural diversity in recreation. Lindsay has taught numerous courses such as PRT 200 (Exploring Leisure Alternatives), PRT 366 (Recreational Sport Management), and REC 350 (Research Methods and Design).
- Recipient of awards including the 2009 Outstanding Sport Management Teacher Award and 2007 Outstanding Teacher Award
- Chair of Tammy R. Johnson’s 2000 thesis committee on adventure education impacts
His scholarly contributions span publications on classroom discipline in physical education, teaching styles analysis, and leisure technology applications. Lindsay has also delivered presentations on cultural diversity, program evaluation, and marketing techniques in recreation management. He actively participates in professional development, including serving as a “Coach for the Day” during a university football game in 1998.
