معرفی
Edward de Haan is a Professor at Radboud University and Academic Director of the Donders Centre for Cognition and the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour. His research focuses on neuropsychology, stroke rehabilitation, and visual perception, with particular attention to cognitive neuroscience mechanisms underlying perception, action, and neurological disorders. He holds leadership roles in the British Neuropsychological Society and contributes to clinical neuroimaging methodologies.
His work examines stroke-induced deficits in visual and cognitive functions, integrating lesion-symptom mapping with neuroimaging (e.g., DTI) to understand brain-behavior relationships. Key areas include visual binding mechanisms, split-brain phenomena, and the re-evaluation of traditional visual pathway models.
Publications highlight interdisciplinary approaches to neurorehabilitation, cognitive dysfunction post-stroke, and the historical context of neuropsychological research. He actively publishes in top journals and maintains an international profile through academic directorships and society leadership.
