Edward Bagenal

Edward Bagenal is Lecturer in Design at Goldsmiths, University of London, working at the intersection of design and civic systems. He holds an MA in Design Products from the Royal College of Art.

Research investigates authority curation through material culture and democratization of civic governance. Current projects utilize drawing as an empathy catalyst and develop participatory platforms for community engagement. Collaborative work includes microfluidic devices for mental health interventions and public engagement tools for urban spaces.

Design outputs include the i-Soapbox spatial argument platform, Geo-Soapbox broadcasting system, and Problem Solving Booths for community psychology applications.

Teaches across design programs including BA Computing and Interaction Design, MA Design, and International Foundation in Design.
