Eduardo Zarza serves as Head of the CSP Research Unit at Plataforma Solar de Almería (PSA), part of Spain's Center for Energy, Environment and Technological Research (CIEMAT). With over 20 years of expertise, he is a leading figure in concentrated solar power research and contributes to the Scientific Committee of Thermal Storage.
His research centers on concentrated solar power technologies, particularly parabolic trough systems and thermal energy storage applications. Zarza advances the field through extensive international project management and peer review activities for top journals including Solar Energy and Applied Thermal Engineering.
He has managed multiple international R&D projects on solar energy applications and acts as collaborator lecturer for over 10 Master's programs in Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, delivering 37 specialized courses. His publication record includes 3 books, 12 journal articles, 10 book chapters, and 50+ technical reports.
