Edoardo Quaretta is an Associate Professor at Link Campus University in Rome. He holds a PhD in Ethnology and Anthropology from the University of Perugia and Université libre de Bruxelles. His research focuses on African sociocultural dynamics, with long-term fieldwork in the Democratic Republic of Congo (since 2006) and South Africa (since 2017). Key research areas include childhood socialization, African education systems, Central African witchcraft practices, neo-pentecostal religious movements, development cooperation, and the historical role of Catholic missions in Africa.
