Edo Boek

Dr. Edo Boek is a Reader in Chemical Engineering and Renewable Energy at Queen Mary University of London, School of Engineering and Materials Science. He serves as Programme Director for Sustainable Engineering and is affiliated with the Centre for Sustainable Engineering. His expertise spans sustainable resources engineering, with focuses on PFAS remediation, micro-algae cultivation, geothermal energy, and advanced materials for electrochemical systems. Key contributions include pilot-scale PFAS removal technologies, SCWO purification systems, and pore-scale imaging for carbon materials.

Boek holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering/Applied Physics from the University of Twente (NL) and has held roles at Schlumberger Cambridge Research, Imperial College London, and MathWorks.
