Dr. Edina Lendvai is an Associate Professor at the University of Szeged, Faculty of Engineering, Institute of Engineering Management and Economics. She has been affiliated with the University of Szeged since 1998, progressing through academic ranks from college teaching assistant to her current position as associate professor since 2007.
Her educational background includes:
- 1990-1994: Eszterházi Károly Teacher Training College, mathematics-chemistry department
- 1994-1996: József Attila University, Faculty of Natural Sciences, chemistry department
- PhD (2005): University of Kaposvár Doctoral School of Business and Organizational Sciences with dissertation on 'Marketing strategy and consumer behavior analysis in the processed poultry products market'
Dr. Lendvai specializes in food industry economics and agricultural policy, with extensive teaching experience in courses including Agrárgazdaságtan (Agricultural Economics), Agrármarketing (Agricultural Marketing), EU agrárpolitikája (EU Agricultural Policy), and Food Process Organization. Her research focuses on business management within the food industry, with particular emphasis on marketing strategies, process organization, and EU policy frameworks affecting agricultural sectors. She has contributed to multiple research projects related to vocational education development and knowledge transfer in the food industry sector.
Dr. Lendvai holds several institutional roles including coordinator for students with disabilities since 2002, and membership on the Faculty Study and Educational Committees. She is also a member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences' Szeged Committee, specifically within the Agricultural Special Committee since 2020.
