Dr. Edgar Ernesto Sanchez Sanchez is an Associate Professor at the Department of Control and Computer Science (DAUIN), Polytechnic University of Turin. He is a member of the Power Electronics Innovation Center and leads the CAD - Electronic CAD & Reliability Group.
His research focuses on Artificial Intelligence and Automotive Systems reliability, particularly addressing neural network vulnerability, approximate computing reliability, and hardware Trojan mitigation. Key projects include REACT (Self-Aware Neuromorphic Architectures) and RESHIP4EU (Chip Design Training).
Recent publications demonstrate expertise in deep learning reliability, RISC-V security, and hardware-software co-design. He has received Best Paper Awards at DATE 2006 and DDECS 2013.
Dr. Sanchez supervises PhD students in AI reliability and cybersecurity, while teaching High Performance Computing and Computer Architectures courses. His work bridges academic research and industrial applications through collaborations with STMicroelectronics and automotive companies.
