Eddie Y. Chou is a Professor of Civil Engineering and Director of the Transportation Systems Research Laboratory at the University of Toledo. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University, postgraduate study in Civil and Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan, and B.S./M.S. in Civil Engineering from National Taiwan University. As a licensed Professional Engineer in Ohio, he has secured over $7 million in research funding.

His work integrates GIS technology, machine learning, and multi-criteria optimization to improve urban transportation planning and maintenance strategies.
