Eddie Gerba

Eddie Gerba is Head of Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) Research at the Bank of England and holds significant academic positions as a Visiting Senior Fellow at the London School of Economics' European Institute and Visiting Professorial Fellow at the University of Valencia's Department for Economic Analysis. He also serves as a Distinguished Affiliate at the CES Ifo Research Institute in Munich and is an Executive Committee Member of the International Finance and Banking Society (IFABS).

Gerba's research focuses on the critical intersection between finance and macroeconomics, with particular emphasis on credit cycles, financial intermediation theory, market-based finance, systemic risks, and financial crises. His methodological expertise spans DSGE models, bounded rationality frameworks, computational methods, time-series econometrics, and derivative pricing models. He has made significant contributions to understanding macro-financial linkages and how financial markets interact with the broader economy.
