Eddie Bevilacqua

Eddie Bevilacqua is a Professor and Undergraduate Coordinator in the Department of Sustainable Resources Management at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF). He specializes in forest biometrics, geospatial technologies, and applied statistics, with a focus on forest growth modeling and tree-ring analysis. His research integrates remote sensing, GIS, and UAS technologies to address challenges in forest resource management, biomass estimation, and climate change impacts. He currently advises three graduate students researching topics ranging from forest inventory using UAVs to biodiversity conservation.

Bevilacqua's work emphasizes practical applications of geospatial data in forest ecosystems, including LiDAR-based biomass mapping, land cover classification algorithms, and post-disturbance forest recovery analysis.
